Renewing Physical Intimacy Biblically

Physical intimacy is much more than just two warm bodies! Most of us enter into marriage with dreams of sexual oneness with our spouse, but many times these dreams are shattered. Sex was God's idea and he created it for procreation and pleasure - a unifying act for husband and wife! Creating spiritual intimacy also plays a big role in connecting with your spouse.

Genesis 2:24 states "And they will become one flesh". This is when both partners enjoy it and have sexual fulfillment. God intended for sex to play a major role in our marriage and it is not to be looked at as something evil. You can find further intimacy scripture references here. This does not always come naturally and requires committment and effort from both parties. I am not saying that this is another "job" for you, but rather that the time and labor you invest into this will pay you back many times over! Try some of the touching tips on this site to help you put that spark back into the relationship. You can find some great books on physical intimacy at Amazon.

We should always look to the Bible for the godly and positive attitudes we should adopt about this misunderstood gift!
