Solutions for Communication Issues

Communication issues are the number one problem in most marriages today. This guide will help you and your spouse find the solutions you need! This is the main key to a successful marriage. When you fail to communicate, you lock out your mate and refuse to share your life. Communication doesn't always come naturally, but it can certainly be achieved. If you are to become one with your spouse, you MUST communicate.

Sometimes, our gender differences play a role in this problem. In most marriages, husbands claim that their wives talk to much, while wives claim that the husbands don't talk at all!

It's important to remember that both talking and listening are required for success. We each have our own difficulties in this area, but we can make the choice to learn how to do it correctly. Your marriage cannot reach it's full potential unless you both choose to communicate. Because there are different levels of communication , we must learn those before we can overcome the barriers. Please review the self-help worksheet in order to better evaluate the status of communication in your own marriage. Be sure to sign up for my monthly newsletter called Seasons by filling in the boxes to the left. It is packed with inspiration, stories from the heart, and great tips for all areas of life! I know that you may not be able to find help for some specific problems on this site, so I recommend checking out this site for nine major problems and help dealing with them.

Below is a list of good principles to practice:

1 - Communication problems are usually from the heart.

2 - Your ears are your most important tools.

3 - Good communication doesn't always come naturally.

4 - No conflict usually means no communication!

5 - Motive is more important than technique.
